You can now book to attend the Local Government Information Unit workshops happening at EXPO 2009.

1. "Preparing for the Carbon Reduction Commitment"

• This an opportunity to explore the Carbon Reduction Commitment (CRC) in more detail, looking at what it is exactly and how it will affect the public sector.
• This workshop is specifically aimed at chief executives, finance directors, and officers who will have to understand the risk and implications of implementing the CRC.

The first side event for EXPO 2009 - Greening the Economy has now been booked. East Midlands NTI Ltd will be holding an event entitled 'Innovation in Sustainable Development'. This will include exhibition stands, conference events, demonstration stands, and workshops. Although most of the detail is still to be confirmed, this is an excellent start to the side events list.
